Security Policy

Password security.

At Orwik, we take password security seriously. When you sign up or sign in, we use SSL encrypted connection to make sure your credentials transferred securely. Once you signed up, only you know your password. Orwik does not store your password as is, only encrypted version. This is also why if you forget your password, we generate you a new one, instead of just sending you email with it.

Billing information security.

All credit card transactions are carried over encrypted SSL connection. SSL is the industry standard used by major online banks. Orwik only works with PCI-compliant payment gateways.

Data security.

We do full database backups once an hour and run slave databases to provide high availability. Full store history of database backups, and verify their integrity using cryptographic functions.

We store your files on Amazon S3, a reliable, highly scalable and fast data storage built by Amazon. Your files are stored in multiple locations around the Internet. Orwik uses cryptographic tools to detect stored file corruptions. Corrupted files are replaced by a correct copy immediately.

All of Orwik pages are served using SSL-encrypted connection to make sure your data is transferred securily both ways.

Infrastructure built with redundancy in mind.

Our servers use Amazon Web Services to provide redundancy and fail over of all major components of the system. It means, if any server of infrastructure fails, the whole system continues to operate. Our servers are fully monitored and any potential issues are reported to our engineers immediately.

Physical security.

Because Orwik servers run on Amazon EC2, we provide level of physical data security provided by Amazon. Please visit Amazon Security Center for more information.

Regular software updates.

Our engineers monitor security update channels for every piece of software that we use. Security updates have top priority and happen as soon as patches become available.

Changes.

MyMetaLab Inc. may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes by sending a notice to your Orwik account email, and posting an update on our site.
